How to be heard
Commissioners decide based on what's in front of them. These three steps put you in front of them.
- Email before the meeting. A short, personal message a few days ahead gets read while minds are still open.
- Send an online comment. Each county accepts written comments until the commissioners begin discussing that vote.
- Show up and speak. Fill out a speaker card when you arrive. You'll usually get about 3 minutes. Say your name, where you live, what you want, and why.
